Scheduled Activities

Here are currently scheduled GreenGirls.net activities:

Date & Time Event
July ___, 2010 (tbd)
8:30am-10am
Adopt-A-Street Cleanup & Clean Sweep — Our adopted street is on North Lamar Boulevard, framed by 24th Street on the north side and Shoal Creek Blvd on the south side just above 15th Street. Since our adopted area is immediately adjacent to Pease Park, we gather at the picnic tables before and after our scheduled cleanup. The location is easily accessed by bus, bicycle, and car, and parking is a breeze. GreenGirls.net at Keep Austin Beautiful sign after Adopt-a-Street cleanupMore photos and a map...

We would love for you to participate! Be sure to RSVP if you will be joining us. Details will be announced via GreenGirls.net News. Subscribe to GreenGirls.net News.

We hope you will join us in taking action together. Check back here for updates on quarterly cleanup events (scheduled for January, April, July, and October each year).

Keeping It Clean
We can all do our part to keep Austin clean. Of course, prevention is the key. But wouldn't it be great if there were a way we could easily and confidentially report individuals who litter along roadsides? Well, thanks to the Don't Mess with Texas campaign, caring citizens can do this at http://www.dontmesswithtexas.org/report-a-litterer.php

Other Scheduled Activities

We now have a Book Club, so we will have book club meetings from time to time. See GreenGirls Events (sidebar at right) for these and other planned events. [Click on text link under GreenGirls Events for details. For future events beyond the current month, you can advance by month, then select date and event for more details.]

To be determined (TBD) Do you have something in mind? Come to our next event to discuss your ideas.

Whether or not you can attend our meetings or other events, you can help us spread the word while you're busy doing other things, and look great while doing so! Please visit our online store at CafePress where you can select from an assortment of tasteful gear — t-shirts, cap, coffee/tea mug, canvas bag, bumper sticker and more — each imprinted with our GreenGirls.net logo.
